Who we are

We are John and Sabrina Kreiner.
We both grew up in the valley, went to highschool together, raised a couple of awesome kids together, ran a janitorial & property management company down south for the last 15 years together, and together we brought this little motel back to life and gave her some brand new style! We are happy to be home and excited to welcome you to our little motel in the north!

Terms and Conditions of Fleur De Lis

GUARANTEED RESERVATIONS:

All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid major credit card. Visa Debit Cards will be subject to a $200 hold. Guests must be 18 years and older. Your credit card is charged the morning of check in in most cases. Call the office to book if you have concerns as to which day your payment is withdrawn. We do not charge your credit card at the time you make your reservations, your credit card authorization guarantees your reservation. Please make sure to keep your confirmation information when you make a reservation. 1 night guests may cancel with 24 hours notice before 3pm the night before. Reservations made for same night must be paid in full upon booking and cannot be cancelled. Multiple Night Reservations 2-7 must be cancelled or adjusted Forty-eight (48 hours), hotel  check in-time, prior to your arrival date in order to avoid full reservation charge. 7+ nights must be adjusted or cancelled 14 nights prior to check in. Reservations will be held until 11:00am the morning following your scheduled arrival date.  If you have not checked in, (abandoned your room) your reservation, plus tax will still be charged to your credit card. Abandoned reservations will be handled as such and Fleur De Lis Motel reserves the right to re-rent, leave closed, or block any such rooms. You the guest acknowledge you have given up your right to that room, a refund, or any compensation. 
Fleur De Lis is not responsible for weather conditions, personal emergencies, or schedule changes, once you are checked in, you are responsible for your full reservation. Please let us know if you will need to alter your reservation with ample notice so we can help if we can.

We can do our best to try and re-rent your room for you under some circumstances and if we do, we will refund you the room rate for the nights we re-rented less a $20 service fee. You the guest acknowledges we are not obligated to refund any portion of your reservation unless it qualifies according to our cancelation policy.

GROUP RESERVATIONS: 
Large group/Block reservations of 2 rooms or more  must be canceled four (4) weeks prior to arrival date. Reservations canceled after that date may be charged for the full reservation amount, plus tax for each room reserved. 

DO-NOT DISTURB AND ACCESS TO ROOMS:

To provide all of our guests with an exceptionally clean and safe motel experience, we deep clean the rooms between every reservation. *Monthly & multiple week guests: Rooms must be cleaned minimum once every 2 weeks to maintain our high standards. We ask that you exit your room during your clean, you can make arrangements with the office for a time that works for you when you request your clean. Some amenities are unlimited for multiple stay guests. They can be found in the guest center and are grab and go. (hoarding and greed will not be tolerated.) 

Towels must be returned to the guest center when picking up new ones.

 Management reserves the right to enter a room with a known status of “IN” for reasonable purposes, such as an emergency, housekeeping, maintenance, verify that the room, its furnishings, and mechanical equipment are intact, or to address or prevent a suspected violation of our Hotel Policy/House Rules.

 In the event of suspected illegal activity, management reserves the right to summon law enforcement to aid in eviction. The right to privacy ends when a Hotel Policy/House Rule is broken. Law enforcement will be granted immediate access to hotel property and rooms of evicted guests.

Weekly/Monthly guests MUST sign a extended stay agreement. This can be done online for your convenience.

CHILDREN: Children of all ages are welcomed. Children aged 17 and under stay for free when sharing a room with one or more paying adult(s).  Extra bedding must be requested for the use of the pull out sofa or it can be obtained from the guest center. As the parents, guardians, or chaperones of children you are personally and legally responsible for and must supervise them at all times. For safety reasons, please do not leave children unattended in guest rooms or allow them to roam the motel property unsupervised. 

100% SMOKE-FREE 

Fleur De Lis is a smoke-free motel. For safety and to assure that our facility is not exposed to items or actions that create an odor which is unhealthy and objectionable to our guests and staff, and that is difficult to remove from the air, carpet, walls, and furniture we do not permit smoking tobacco, marijuana, illegal drugs, e-cigarettes, vape pens, vaping, cartridges containing the liquid of nicotine, hookahs, incense or cigars and anything else that may fall into that category. No smoking outside room doors or windows. There is a designated smoking area across from the parking lot in the grassy area. Do not throw butts on the ground. There is an ashtray on the smoking post.

CHECK-IN TIME: 3:00 p.m. 

EARLY CHECK-IN/PRE-REGISTRATION:

Early check-in is offered based on availability. Please contact Front Desk staff directly by phone (705)-969-5924 or text (519)-377-4406 prior to your arrival if you would like an early check in. Prior to check in you will receive a text message with your room number and door code, along with some additional information. You will need this to get into your room. If you need alternate arrangements or don't have a cell phone please call the office. Check in is contactless meaning you do not need to come to the office as long and there isn't anything outstanding relating to your reservation. Please carry your ID and have your valid credit card with you in case we request to see it.

All extended short term guests must read and fill out an extended short term stay agreement. This can be done via our forms tab. 

CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS:

Guests must be at least 18 years of age to check in at Fleur De Lis. In the interests of security and to prevent fraud, guests are required to have with them their valid government issued photo identification (driver’s license, passport, etc.) at check-in. A valid, signed, and pre-approved credit card in the name of the guest registration is also required.

 It is your responsibility to fully understand the manner in which your bank processes pre-authorizations and charges to your credit/debit card. Some banks hold pending authorizations for up to 30 business days.

 

CHECK-OUT PROCEDURE:

 CHECK-OUT TIME: Room rental period expires at 11:00 a.m. Additional day charge, plus tax will apply for late checkouts unless they are pre arranged. If you require a later check-out, please contact Front Desk prior to the day of your departure and we will do our best to accommodate your request. A charge may apply for late check-out.

ROOM ACCESS/ KEYS:

There are no room keys at the Fleur De Lis. All of our doors are digital and codes are erased and changed between guests. You will need a cell phone to access your check in information. Please let the office know if you do not have a cell phone.

SPECIAL REQUESTS:

We will make every effort to honor special requests upon your arrival. All special requests are noted on reservations and we will do our best to accommodate.  However, the availability of these items cannot be guaranteed in advance.

RATES:

All rates are quoted in CAD. Rates may increase without notice. Rates as advertised on the Fleur De Lis website or any other website or promotional material are subject to change at any time and may increase or decrease at the hotel’s discretion.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE:

Fleur De Lis is privately owned and operated. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason(s) that does not violate the law. Fleur De Lis has a zero tolerance policy in which we will refuse to admit or refuse service or accommodation in our motel or may remove a person, without refund, who refuses to abide by the reasonable standards and policies established by Ontario Law 

and the owners for the operation and management of the motel. Fleur De Lis will refuse service or evict a guest: for refusal or failure to pay for accommodations, is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other intoxicating substance and acts in a disorderly fashion as to disturb the peace of other guests or is not in compliance with provincial liquor/cannabis laws; acts in a disorderly fashion as to disturb the peace of other guests; is unable to properly supervise their children at all times, seeks to use the motel for an unlawful purpose; seeks to bring into the motel: an unlawfully possessed firearm; or something, including an explosive or hazardous or toxic substance, that is unlawful to possess and that may be dangerous to other persons; destroys, damages, defaces, or threatens harm to motel property or guests; causes or permits persons to exceed the maximum allowable occupancy of room, refuses to abide by the reasonable standards or policies established by Fleur De Lis for the operation and management of our motel. 

QUIET HOURS:

10:00 p.m. to 8 a.m. If you become aware of a disruptive guest, please contact Front Desk staff immediately by phone or in person. Televisions, voices, or other devices must be kept at a respectful low level at all times. Doors should be opened and closed quietly. 

VISITORS:

No visitors after 10:00 p.m. Visitors must be accompanied by the registered guest at all times. Overnight guests must be registered and pay an extra guest fee.

LINEN CHANGING:

Your comfort is very important to us. If Housekeeping is unable to change a bed due to personal items left on a bed, a note will be left. Housekeeping will be happy to change your bed linens and make your bed if all personal items are removed. Please contact our Front Desk staff if you have any additional questions or concerns.

LOST & FOUND POLICY:

Fleur De Lis assumes no liability for lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged valuables or belongings. If you discover that you have left behind something of value to you, please call us immediately and we will try to assist you in locating your lost item. 

FOUND ITEMS:

Fleur De Lis is not responsible for any item left behind by a guest. However, any item, with the exception of perishable items, left behind by our guests and found after departure by Housekeeping will be collected, logged in, and kept in a secure location for collection by the owner for up to seven (7) days. Perishable items, underwear, and miscellaneous toiletries are discarded.

RETURNING LOST ITEMS TO OWNER:

We would be happy to return your lost item(s) to you by Canada Post Delivery. Your credit card will be charged packaging and postage, plus a $10.00 handling fee. A separate receipt will be mailed to you. Fleur De Lis is not responsible for any item lost or misdirected during shipment by Canada Post. 

UNCLAIMED ITEMS/NO CONTACT:

Lost & Found items are held for seven (7) days while we attempt to contact the guest. If guest contact information is incorrect or cell phone mailbox is full and we are unable to contact the guest during the seven (7) day holding period, the unclaimed item(s) are thrown away, given to local organizations, or disposed of accordingly by Fleur De Lis Motel.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY OR FIRE:

CALL 911 then notify Front Desk in the event of a fire or other emergency. Emergency meeting place is in front of the Fleur De Lis sign. Please wait there so all guests can be accounted for.

FIRE SAFETY POLICY:

The motel is fully equipped with smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, fire safety information in Guest Room Notebook. Please review this important information.

NO IN-ROOM PARTY:

Fleur De Lis enforces a No In-Room Party Policy to ensure we can protect the motel and our guests at all times. No parties, loud disturbances and/or noise-nuisance are allowed or tolerated on these premises. In the event of a disturbance, one polite request (warning) will be given to reduce the noise. If our request is not followed, the guest will be asked to leave the motel without refund.  

Registered guest(s) is responsible for all persons visiting. Non-Registered visitors are only permitted until 10:00 P.M. If found with more “people” not listed on the Guest Registration Form after 10:00 P.M. your stay will be considered a party. You will be ordered to vacate the premises without refund and may be held liable to a Guest Compensation Disturbance Fee.

FREE WiFi ACCESS:

Access to our WiFi is free for our registered guests. The hotel WiFi access code is subject to change without notice. WiFi signals are subject to change without notice depending on the room’s location, the status of our WiFi-equipment, and interference from other local wireless signals. Fleur De Lis assumes no liability for guest use. 

ENFORCEMENT:

All staff are trained and required to respond to potential violations of our Motel Policy/House Rules. Guests who refuse to abide by the reasonable standards and policies established by Fleur De Lis Motel for safety of all guests, staff, owners, property, and the operation and management of the motel will be evicted, with no refund .In addition to the room charge, a minimum $300.00 cleaning fee per room will be charged for infraction(s) of our Hotel Policy/House Rules if damage is present.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

Fleur De Lis Motel makes its best efforts to ensure that all the information that appears on its website is accurate. However, no warranty, expressed or implied, is given that the information provided on this website is error free. Fleur De Lis does not accept liability for any errors and/or omissions, and reserves the right to change the information published at any time and without notice.

Fleur De Lis Motel does not accept liability for the contents or links provided on such websites, nor does it accept liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of the use or connected with its website.

ILLNESS AND EPIDEMICS:

Fleur De Lis reserves the right to refuse accommodations to a guest arriving with a contagious disease. In cases where sickness occurs during the stay, please notify the Front Desk staff. In cases where sickness occurs during the stay, if staff feel the sick guest was transparent and did not enter the premises knowingly bringing a contagious disease onto the property, we will make our best efforts to accommodate you during your illness and help within our abilities. Please let us know right away if you suspect you are carrying a contagious illness. Our staff are specialized in infectious contagion cleaning and sanitizing and know we can make sure our guests are safe on arrival and safe during their stay. 

During epidemics we are entitled to employ precautionary measures within our judgment or as required by local authorities. We may charge you a room cleaning fee as we deem appropriate under the circumstances. 

INFESTATION:

The cleanliness of our rooms is extremely important to our guests. If you bring any infestation into your room, we may charge you for any and all costs and expenses, including immediate or urgent response requirements and loss of room revenue, that we deem necessary to address the infestation. Pets must be flea and parasite free. Letting us know if you have found a flea/tick/other on your pet during your stay may help you avoid extra costs. If we can treat your room immediately we can avoid an infestation.

PARKING AT OWN RISK:

All vehicle(s) must be listed on the registration at check-in. Parking for registered guest(s) is free. All vehicles are parked at the risk of the owner. Please ark only in front of your door. If you have a second vehicle visiting please have it park  beside the guest area. Do not block garbage bins. Fleur De Lis shall not assume liability or responsibility for any vehicle, occupants, or contents while operated or parked on the motel property. If a vehicle is left in the motel parking lot after the guest has departed without the written consent of the motel, the motel reserves the right to have the vehicle towed at the owner’s expense. No vehicle repairs on motel premises. 

DAMAGE AND/OR THEFT OF MOTEL PROPERTY

You are liable for any damage caused (whether by the deliberate, negligent, or reckless act) to the room(s), hotel’s premises or property caused by you or any person in your party whether or not staying at the motel during your stay. Fleur De Lis reserves the right to retain your credit card and/or debit card details as presented at registration and charge or debit the credit /debit card such amounts as it shall in its sole discretion deem necessary to compensate or make good the cost or expenses incurred or suffered by Fleur De Lis as a result of the aforesaid. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the Motel property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, etc. We will make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting a specialist to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.

DAMAGE DISCOVERED AFTER CHECK-OUT:

Guest Rooms found with waste strewn around, in complete disorder, and/or “trashed” will be subject to maintenance deep cleaning fee, administration fee and/or third party fees.

DAMAGE TO ROOM:

Damage to rooms, fixtures, furnishing and equipment including the removal of electronic equipment, towels, art work, etc. will be charged at 120% of full and new replacement value plus any shipping and handling charges. Any damage to hotel property, whether accidental or willful, is the responsibility of the registered guest for each particular room. Any costs associated with repairs and/or replacement will be charged to the credit card of the registered guest. In extreme cases, criminal charges will be pursued.​

DAMAGE TO MATTRESSES AND BEDDING:

Damage to mattresses and linen including; towels, mattress pads, sheets, bedspreads, blankets resulting from the use of body oils, make-up, shoe-polish, etc. will result in a charge for the special cleaning, repair or replacement of the damaged article.  If a bed has been wet, please let us know immediately, accidents happen and if we know right away we can effectively treat it with no cost to you. Honesty is the best policy for avoiding costs.

DAMAGE OR TAMPERING WITH FIRE DETECTION SYSTEMS/FIRE-FIGHTING EQUIPMENT:

Fleur De Lis motel reserves the right to take action against any guest or visitor found to have tampered or interfered with any detection equipment throughout the motel, including detector heads and fire extinguishers. Guests or visitors found to have tampered with any fire detection or fire-fighting equipment will be charged with any costs incurred by the motel due to their actions and will be evicted from the motel. Depending on the severity of the guest actions, law enforcement may become involved at the motel’s discretion. Should the fact that fire-fighting or detection equipment had been tampered with come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the Motel property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, etc.

FULL DISCLOSURE/ SECURITY MONITORING

2 cameras monitor entire parking lot. 1 ring doorbell camera at guest center entrance on outside of building and 1 on corner end of building facing the highway. We co-operate fully with Greater Sudbury Police when requested to view our footage. You fully understand that the parking lot is not private and any illegal activity will be reported.

CHANGES OR MODIFICATION TO THE MOTEL POLICY/HOUSE RULES:

Fleur De Lis reserves the right to amend, modify, change, cancel, vary or add to these Motel Policies/House Rules or the arrangements and content featured on our Motel website at any time without prior notice. Please check our website regularly for updates to Motel Policy/House Rules. Any modification to these Motel Policy/House Rules that occurs before your departure is considered a part of your reservations agreement with us.
